Speaking on Morning Ireland this morning, Professor John Sweeny of NUI Maynooth, a leading climatologist and a member of the Board of Friends of the Earth Ireland, said that instense rainfall events like Saturday's deluge in Dublin will happen more often in future because of climate change.
