Green Drinks Tuesday 4th December, 6pm South William Bar, Dublin 2

2 Dec 2008

Last month's Green Drinks was a great success with a packed room upstairs at the South William Street hearing Richard Delevan set the scene for US election night, followed by free ice-cream donated by Ben and Jerrys.

This month our focus shifts to Poland where the latest round of UN climate talks opened yesterday.

Oisin Coghlan, Friends of the Earth Director, will speak at 7pm for 10 minutes on what we can expect from the talks and the challenge ahead as the international community seeks to agree a new global treaty on climate change by this time next year when the negotiations are due to finish in Copenhagen. As last month there will be time questions at the end.

There'll be a Chrismtas theme to this month's Green Drinks with free mulled wine and mince pies.

And Stop Climate Chaos will be inviting you to join their events to Ring the Changes on the global day of action on climate change this Saturday, 6 December.

So please do join us from 6pm this evening to catch up on the latest green gossip and goings on.

Green Drinks in Ireland is organized by Leaf Living and Friends of the Earth.
