The Friends of the Earth team is growing! We're delighted to announce that we now have four new roles to fill -  amid unprecedented public interest in climate action!

Friends of the Earth is an environmental justice organization whose mission is to campaign for solutions to environmental problems that make life better for people.

We're recruiting an Administrator, a Campaign Communications Officer, a Donor Care & Fundraising Officer and a Finance Manager to join our team. Read on below for details on each individual position.

Administrator

Reporting to the Head of Finance and Operations, the successful candidate will provide crucial support to the organisation and in particular to the CEO for advancing one of our four organisational goals: To ensure Friends of the Earth has the robust governance and effective management systems, and the appropriate financial resources, to maximise our impact and to cultivate a positive working environment. The climate crisis is in the public mind like never before and Friends of the Earth is growing as Ireland and the world step up efforts to cuts emissions fast enough to prevent complete climate breakdown. This is a role for someone with strong administrative skills and enthusiasm for multi-tasking in a growing organisation.

Campaigns Communications Officer

If you've a passion for climate justice and have done some communications work as part of your activism (in a part-time, voluntary or paid capacity) then our Campaign Communications Officer role may be the perfect job for you!

Reporting to the Head of Communications, the successful candidate will deliver crucial campaign and organizational communications through a variety of channels.

Together with the Head of Communications you are responsible for advancing one of our strategic objectives related to Policy Change:

To create public understanding that much of the change we wish to see will generate positive impacts and opportunities, not costs and hardships. To bring justice and fairness to the centre of the debate about climate and environmental issues - change should happen when justice and fairness requires it, even if it is not popular with everyone, especially the rich and powerful.

And together with the Head of Communications and colleagues working in supporter relations you will contribute to advancing one of our four organizational goals:

To ensure Friends of the Earth supporters feel they are members of a mutually supportive community and present ways for them to participate in and sustain the work of the organization for as long as it is required.

The climate crisis is in the public mind like never before and Friends of the Earth is growing as Ireland and the world step up efforts to cuts emissions fast enough to prevent complete climate breakdown. This is a role for someone with a passion for climate justice, a strong feel for campaign communications and hands-on experience of creating engaging communications content across a variety of media, channels and platforms.

Donor Care and Fundraising Officer

Reporting to the Head of Supporter Care and Community Building, the successful candidate will deliver the Donor Care and Fundraising programme at Friends of the Earth. Together with the Head of Supporter Care you are responsible for advancing one of our four organizational goals: To ensure Friends of the Earth supporters feel they are members of a mutually supportive community and present ways for them to participate in and sustain the work of the organization for as long as it is required. The climate crisis is in the public mind like never before and Friends of the Earth is growing as Ireland and the world step up efforts to cuts emissions fast enough to prevent complete climate breakdown. This is a role for a dynamic fundraiser who wants to make a difference to a crucial cause and help Ireland’s leading climate campaigning organization meet its fundraising goals.

Finance Manager

Reporting to the Head of Finance and Operations, the successful candidate will deliver crucial financial management for advancing one of our four organisational goals: To ensure Friends of the Earth has the robust governance and effective management systems, and the appropriate financial resources, to maximise our impact and to cultivate a positive working environment. The climate crisis is in the public mind like never before and Friends of the Earth is growing as Ireland and the world step up efforts to cuts emissions fast enough to prevent complete climate breakdown. This is a role for someone with strong financial skills and enthusiasm for working in a dynamic, multi-programmes led organisation.
