Last chance to see paintings headed for Montreal climate talks

Today, Sunday 16th, is the last chance to see thee exhibition of painted messages on climate change at the Cultivate Centre in Essex Street West in Temple Bar, Dublin 2.

Tomorrow the messages will be shipped off to join thousands more collected by Friends of the Earth around Europe en route to Montreal for the international negotiations on climate at the end of November.

In Montreal they will be used to form a huge display to press upon world leaders attending the talks the urgency of tackling climate change.

The Irish messages were painted by children and adults attending the Festival of World Cultures in Dun Laoghaire and the Electric Pinic music festival in Co. Laois.
