Saturday the 11th of June

11.30 - 12.05 Opening remarks
Oisin Coghlan, (Friends of the Earth Ireland) and James Orr (Friends of the Earth Northern Ireland) will open the event and set the scene for the weekend

12.10 - 13.30 Post-election Political Landscape Panel Discussion
Panelists including, Ciaran Cuffe(Former Minister for Sustainability), Harry McGee of the Irish Times , Mick Fealty (Blogger Slugger O'Toole) and will discuss the implications of recent Dáil and Stormont elections for Environmental action and activism on the Island. Session to be Chaired by James Orr


13.30 - 14.15 Lunch

14.30 - 15.15 Activism and mobilising
An inspiring look at the highs and lows of environmental campaigning in Ireland over the past twenty years, with testimony from those involved.


15.15 - 15.30 Coffee and Cakes

15.30 - 17.00 Thematic workshops
Delegates explore the activism potential along the themes of the Climate Justice, Youth Organising, Planning, and Green Economics.

17.05 - 17.45 Report back from workshops
Each group gives brief synopsis of their discussions

18.00 - 19.30 Leisure time
Outdoor activities, or film or relaxation time.


19.30 - 20.30 Dinner

21.00 - 22.00 Table Quiz
Delegates will pit their wits against each other over several rounds to win prizes and bragging rights. Promises to be good fun.

Sunday the 12th of June


09.30 - 10.30 Snapshots of the year
A journey through the past 12 months. With particular attention focused on the key moments for campaigns North and South of the border. Chaired by Andy Atkins (Friends of The Earth, England, Wales and Northern Ireland)


10.30 - 11.30 Activism Panel
A really exciting exploration of grassroots environmental activism around the globally and locally with panelists Silas Siakor (winner of the Goldman Environmentalist Prize), Nancy Serrano, Marianne Farell and Andrew Mc Murry. Chaired by Oisin Coghlan.


11.30 - 11.50 Scones and coffee


12.00 - 13.30 Break-Out groups for visioning and planning our activism.
Participants will break into smaller groups to plan and discuss way that we can win.


13.30 - 14.00 Lunch

14.00 - 14.30 Closing remarks
Oisin Coghlan and James Orr will sum up what we have achieved and note important outcomes from the weekend.


14.30 - 15.00 Evaluation and departure

15.00 Bus leaves
