Join Friends of the Earth and Community Law & Mediation’s Centre for Environmental Justice on Tuesday, 30th April, for an empowering online workshop supporting you to make a meaningful submission to the government's Energy Poverty Action Plan consultation.

We know many Irish people have been struggling with energy costs over the past number of years, living in cold homes and some having to choose between heating or eating. Now, as the government updates their Energy Poverty Action Plan, there is an opportunity to have your voice heard, to share your experience, and tell the government what they can do to guarantee warm homes and affordable, clean energy for everyone.

During this interactive lunchtime webinar on 30th April from 1-2pm, we will be:

  • Sharing information on the current policy landscape

  • Providing practical guidance on crafting an effective submission - either individual or on behalf of a group, community or organisation you’re working with and;

  • Available to answer any queries or questions you may have.

This webinar on Tuesday, 30th April, is for people worried about energy costs, organisations who work with those experiencing energy deprivation, and social justice and climate activists. As part of the government’s Energy Poverty Action Plan consultation process, the Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications wants to hear about your lived experience of struggling with energy costs in order to inform their policy decisions. We will support you in doing this during our webinar.

Making a submission to this consultation will help us move towards a more sustainable and inclusive energy system as we work towards guaranteeing warm homes and affordable, clean energy for all.
