Report by Dublin Friends of the Earth on the potential for reductions in energy wastage in public buildings. Dublin Friends of the Earth have found that the Government could save up to €100 million in a couple of years if it stopped the waste of energy in public buildings. The report entitled "CUTS THAT DON'T HURT" will be launched by well-known broadcaster Duncan Stewart this Tuesday, May 29th, at the Greenhouse, St. Andrew Street, Dublin at 1 p.m., followed by a question and answer session. The report shows that high-spending Government Ministers are not taking the lead in ending costly energy waste in thousands of buildings - schools, hospitals, health centres and many others, where heating is set too high and lights and computers left on when no-one is present.
