Join the team to tackle Plastic at the Picnic!

For the last 3 years, Friends of the Earth has brought a team of volunteers to Ireland's biggest music, comedy and spoken word festival - Electric Picnic.
Will you be part of it this year?
Here's the deal:
In return for volunteering each of the three days for 6 hours each day (the earliest you would be working is 10am, and the latest 9pm), either petitioning on the Waste Reduction Bill, working the Cup Refund Points or engaging festival-goers on what waste goes in what bin, you get -

Plastic Bottle Rally - Let's Demand DRS!

Join us for a Plastic Bottle Rally 1pm November 6th!
Back in January 2018, we 'Ditched Our Plastic at the Dáil' in support of Zero Waste activist Dianne Forsythe's Uplift petition calling on government to introduce a deposit return scheme (DRS) for the recycling collection of plastic bottles in Ireland.
It took Minister for the Environment, Richard Bruton, a whole year to respond, and the best he could do was commission a study to see how DRS could operate in Ireland. (Despite existing evidence proving that it works).

Youth Activists Address MEPs on Climate

In the lead up to the MEP elections, Youth Activists came together to voice their demands on climate and how they want to see Irish European representatives act on climate.
