I'm speaking at a briefing on fracking in Leinster House on Thursday lunchtime. Can you do me a favour and email your local TDs asking them to attend ? It'll only take a minute and they are much more likely to come when one of their own constituents asks them. Thanks.

The main speaker is a campaigner from Good Energies Alliance Ireland, based in Leitrim. They are very concerned at the increasing evidence that the EPA research on fracking is neither independent enough nor broad enough to be a legitimate basis for a Government decision for or against fracking. Good Energies Alliance Ireland are among those organizing a "Stop the Study" rally outside Leinster House at 12.30 on Thursday . We'd love Friends of the Earth members to support them, do pop along if you can.

Then, at 6.30pm we're hosting the Irish premiere of a new, 70 minute, documentary called Groundswell Rising in Sweeney's Bar in Dame Street, Dublin 2. It'll be followed by a Q&A with Aedin McLoughlin of Good Energies and our Head of Climate Action, Ciara Kirrane. It's free in, but space is limited. Book your free ticket here. P.S. And finally .. . the Climate Bill is back in the Seanad on Thursday for the final time. We're still pushing for a couple of amendments and I'll be back to you about that. But it's very likely it'll become law on Thursday :-). We'd love to fill the Seanad public gallery for the final debate. It starts at 12.45 and is likely to be over by 2pm or so. Another reason to come to Leinster House on Thursday. Email info@foe.ie and we'll organize for you to get in.
